Leather Doctor Kit-B7+ is an up-size version of Kit-B7 with double the cleaning coverage and topcoat refinishing formulated to restore the common sticky problem associated with Bicast and Simulated urethane finished leathers. The owner often describes the sticky problem as follows: The finish has gone dull on the seating areas and any material comes in contact sticks to it. The finishes feel a bit rubbery but after 5mins of sitting clothing were stuck to it. The location that suffers tackiness also reveals roughness to the touch. When sitting down and getting up, there is the sound of tape pulling and you can actually see a pattern on the couch from the jeans. If these experiences sound familiar then this kit is the answer. A new product introduced is the CleanPro-1.5 (pH 1.5), which takes care of the general areas, follows with Acidifier-2.0 as a rinse. This restorative cleaning both removes foreign contamination and reduces stickiness at the same time. Stripping the surface contamination including conditioners and protectors to the original finishes is done by Degreaser-2.2 with the help of LeatherEraser-6 for better traction to removed surface materials. Suspended soiling is a lint-free towel extracted and rinse with Acidifier-2.0. Sanding helps reduce surface roughness if any and the dust-free surface is ready to receive a new topcoat. A 10% Crosslinker-25 is added to the BicastTop-76G prior to refinishing for extra finish strength. The application is dry between coatings until matching up to the original luster level. Protector-B (scentless) imparts a non-stick buttery-feel against sticky soiling and rub-resistant against friction-wear. The optional Protector-B+ extra feature further diffuses a leather scent enhancing the leather more sensuously and luxuriously. This starter kit is formulated as a holistic system, with 3 coatings BicastTop-76G + Crosslinker-25 covers approximately 80 square feet. Optional adds-on and refills are available as individual bottles. This kit comes with reduced weight, to save on shipping, ease of handling and reduced freezing during winter season, thus all the concentrates in the bottles have to be cut/mix and fills with distilled water prior to use.

Great product, sofa is like new!
Posted by Chris on 28th Jul 2015
After about 8 years of use, my Natuzzi sofa became sticky on the seat cushions, to the point where it would transfer fibres from clothing onto the sofa. I tried contacting some local repair outfits and their response was that I would be better off buying a new sofa due to the nature of the bicast leather material. Their quotes for repair were around the $900 mark.
Faced with a potentially unusable sofa, I did some research on the internet which led me to Leather Doctor and the Bicast Leather sticky topcoat kit. I placed the order and the kit arrived within days.
I followed the preparation process, being careful to remove all of the fibres which were transferred to the sofa using degreaser and the 2000 grit sandpaper once the leather was dry.
The acidifier made a huge difference in how the leather felt. No more stickiness! Finally, when the leather was once again dry, the urethane topcoat was applied. Be sure to apply this evenly to avoid streaking. It also darkens the colour of the leather slightly. Once the urethane was dry, the sofa looked nearly new, and the sticky problem solved. Final treatment was the the protector which gave a smooth feel to the leather, and also restores the original leather smell.
One kit is enough for one 3-place sofa. I had a 3-place and a 2-place to refinish and the kit was only enough to do the seating surfaces and the fronts of both, but not the backs or the sides.
Well worth the investment!
