Product Overview

Leather Doctor® Leather Perforated Auto Seat Ink and Dye Stain Remover - Kit-Ap7.di

Perforated Leather Auto Seat Ink and Dye Stain Remover - Kit-Ap7.di by Leather Doctor is an innovative concept of removing blue jeans dye and ink stains featuring a “reverse transfer” technique utilizing a paper towel over the dwelling Prep-7.7 > Dyecleaner-7.9 system. It works by penetrating; lubricating and suspending the stains on dwell time and the paper towel reverse absorbs the stain instantaneously from the leather. Prep-7.7 sticky residue is removed with Cleaner-3.8 and Rinse-3.0. Further dye removal is performed with DyeCleaner-7.9. Hydrator-3.3 relaxes stiff leathers prior to fat and oil replenishing especially the stitching needle rows. Fatliquor-5.0 rejuvenates the leather structure with softness and suppleness when dry. MicroLeatherTop-54S is an option for renewing the finish from friction wear. LeatherScentedProtector-B+ imparts non-stick rub-resistant protection with a buttery feel that shields against sticky soiling and reduces friction noises. Note that the mentioned product suffix number denotes its pH value in this holistic leather-safe dye and ink stain removal system. This kit comes with concentrates in the spray bottles, to save on shipping, thus will need to be mixed with distilled water prior to use.

Instruction:

Accumulated Soiling Removal:

General accumulated soiling is first removed with Prep-7.7. The longer the dwelling the easier to remove soiling.

1- Prep-7.7 is applied and brushed with detailing horsehair Brush-1, followed with terry towel extraction until the towel shows clean.

2- Remaining soiling including ink and dye stains are again further treated with a ‘reverse transfer’ technique allowing the Prep-7.7 to wick through the highly absorbent Towel-5 without any airspace. That is to work out the Towel-5 with Brush-3 until it becomes translucent without any white dry blotches.

3- Inspect every 8 to 24hrs and up to 72hrs to see the effect of the ‘reverse-transfer’ of stains.

4- When 72hrs is up, remove the Prep-7.7 residue with Cleaner-3.8 > Rinse-3.0 system and repeat with DyeCleaner-7.9.

5- DyeCleaner-7.9 is repeated through the above 1 to 4 steps to inspect for result satisfaction.

Testing with Prep-7.7

1- Cut out a piece of paper towel from the kit not bigger than our thumb size and soak it with Prep-7.7.

2- Test it on the worst stained area and inspect every 24 hours with fresh application until the stain is gone.

3- Observe if there is sign of stain removal, if it does, the stain will eventually be removed with repeat application.

4- To secure the test patch from dislodging, wrap it over with see through cling wrap.

5- When 72hrs is up with an unsatisfactory result, proceed with DyeCleaner-7.9 testing over the existing spot.

Testing with DyeCleaner-7.9

1- Repeat procedure same as above 1 to 4 with DyeCleaner-7.9.
