Product Overview
Aniline Coating Dye 76 by Leather Doctor is a new generation transparent surface coating dyestuff that coats to provide excellent coverage.
Aniline 76 is a vivid and bright surface-coating dye that can be used to coat over existing bronzing staining dye effects such as Aniline 21 or existing finishes to enhance the color intensity.
Transparent color intensity increases with layers and is similar to working with water coloring in painting.
Overlapping strokes will produce a deeper color intensity.
To achieve a consistent lighter color range, the original color will need to be diluted with a 'Clear' color accordingly.
Always do a test with the color to determine the desired result.
Always do a test on the application method used to achieve the desired color intensity before actual work.
Airbrushing with a pressure of 80 to 100 psi will produce the best result in color consistency.
Other methods include using a varnishing brush, padding with a folding towel, etc may produce different results.
In theory, color shade can be achieved in 2 methods, by application, or by diluting the color accordingly with a 'Clear'.
An example from the color shade below Antique-Brown 1 (Plus 3 parts of Clear).
Application Method by Airbrushing: This color shade direct from the ready-to-use Antique-Brown can be achieved by an even light airbrushing with better control of the amount of dye applied over the surface.
Application Method by Diluting: The ready-to-use Antique-Brown has to be diluted with 3 parts of 'Clear' and applied by other methods such as varnishing brush, towel folding pads, foam brush, horsehair brush, etc. This diluted method controls the limit of the color intensity, so multiple application to the level of color intensity is made possible to achieve the desired color shade.
