Nubuck-17 by Leather Doctor is a transparent dyestuff that stains by fine airbrushing for nubuck and suede, and crocking or bleeding is reduced with Dye Fix-99.
To even out undesirable discoloration for good coverage with hiding properties used opaque Nubuck-39 over Nubuck-17 to coat the surface.
Nubuck-39 and Nubuck-17 when intermixed will produce a transparent hybrid for both deep penetration and surface coverage depending on the desired result.
How to Apply Nubuck-17 by Airbrush Refinishing?
1- Concentrates in the bottle has to be cut and mixed with distilled water prior to use.
2- Shake very well and apply airbrushing for a professional result.
3- Set air pressure from (80 to 100psi).
4- Adjust to cone-shaped spray.
5- Increase atomization and decrease feed.
6- Spray in a circular motion with deep brushing without saturation.
7- Blow dry in-between coats until the desired result is achieved.
8- Repeat a section at a time and brush accordingly.
9- Brush again when dry for a finger-writing-effect.
How to Prepare Nubuck for Color Refinishing?
1- General soiling, body grease, oil and sweat removal, and pH balance to control bleeding with Degreaser-2.2 followed by Acidifier-2.0 followed by Hydrator-3.3 system.
2- To relax unnatural creases, folding, and wrinkles use Hydrator-3.3.
3- To rejuvenate for suppleness use Hydrator-3.3 followed by Fatliquor-5.0 followed by Hydrator-3.3 system.
4- Dry soil removal after leather rejuvenation using Leather Eraser-4 and Nubuck Nylon Brush-2.
What Protector to Use after Refinishing?
Use Leather Scent Protector-S+ or scentless Leather Protector-S to impart a non-stick, rub-resistant silky feel finger-writing -effect.
